The Xbox Game Pass offer, which already includes the entire Yakuza saga, could be enriched by the spin off title Judgment
The offer of the Xbox Game Pass, which includes the entire open world fighting game Yakuza saga (including the last chapter Yakuza: Like a Dragon), could also be enriched by the spin off title Judgment. The port to make the latter playable through Play Station 5, Xbox Series X | S and Google Stadia was published last April; originally, the game was released in 2018 and was only playable via PlayStation 4. Furthermore, the release date of its sequel has been set for next fall.
Judgment: that’s why it could arrive on Xbox Game Pass
The clue concerning the probable arrival of Judgment on Xbox Game Pass is contained in a tweet issued by the official account of the service. Within this it is in fact possible to read a long list of names, among which we also find that of Takayuki Yagami, the protagonist of the game in question. In a tweet published later, Yagami’s name appears covered by a frieze and flanked by the comment: “Oopsie woopsie”, as if to imply that it was added by mistake. The attention to the “incident” that the authors have placed, however, suggests that it is rather a communication strategy aimed at increasing the hype with respect to the next arrival on the game service.

Judgment, as mentioned, is a spin off title of the saga Yakuza and was developed by Ryū ga Gotoku and published by SEGA. The game combines fighting elements typical of the saga from which it originates with others of type investigative and, compared to the titles of the canonical series, it has a decidedly darker tone. The protagonist Takayuki Yagami has the appearance of the well-known Japanese actor and singer Takuya Kimura.
