Kill Bill, director Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece film, celebrates the twentieth anniversary of its first release this year and for this reason a return to theaters in 4K is expected
Kill Bill is one of the most famous and most appreciated films of this millennium by Quentin Tarantino and this year it celebrated just twenty years since its first release in theaters. Lionsgate will take care of the perfect celebration which in these days is churning out good news, one of which is the official confirmation of the production of a fifth John Wick film and therefore of the saga continuously. Another good news is that he has acquired the rights to Kill Bill and therefore intends to organize an ad hoc celebration for all the fans.
Kill Bill: celebrate twenty years in cinemas in 4K
At the moment there are still no details, but Kill Bill will return to the cinema in a remastered version and in 4K. We don’t know the date yet, just as we won’t know if there will be any extra content together with this screening. Along with Kill Bill, Lionsgate has also acquired the rights to Jackie Brown, thus joining the director’s other classics. It is also interesting to understand whether only Vol.1 or even Vol 2 is foreseen in the 4K projection, because as we know they are dealing with two divided chapters, but the director has always considered them as a single film. In fact, his intentions were to produce a single film, but there was the risk that it would be too long and with too many cuts to make. Therefore, the decision to release two separate films was only a distribution choice, not a screenplay one.
While waiting to see this huge film in the cinema again and in 4K version, we can’t wait to know the release date and further details!
