Knockout City, the dodgeball-inspired title from Velan Studios and EA Originals, is challenging players to a battle on next-generation consoles. Starting November 2, fans will be able to play on Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5 at 120 FPS.
The latest console update is free and offers a fighting chance in crisp 4K definition at 60 FPS. Brawlers can also select between Performance or Quality mode in the settings menu; the options per platform are as follows:
PlayStation 5: nativo 4K a 60FPS o 1440p (upscaling a 4K) a 120FPS
Xbox Series X: nativo 4K a 60FPS o 1620p (upscaling a 4K) a 120FPS
Xbox Series S: 1440p a 60FPS o 1080p a 120FPS
Velan’s team has improved the lighting with the additional power of the next generation consoles, including new area lights, spherical lights, particle lights, improved global illumination and local light shadows, giving the environment more reactions to how the light illuminates the paths or casts shadows.
This update also offers high fidelity textures, which were previously only available on the PC and Xbox One versions. These create a more realistic environment, with “touchable” surfaces that dodgebrawlers can almost feel as they pass in front of all opponents!
If a player already owns Knockout City your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, updating to this new version won’t cost a penny: you can download the game from the app store and get back to the challenge right away without missing a beat! Additionally, if the game was originally purchased through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PlayStation Plus, the player is eligible for this free upgrade.
