Over twenty years ago i classic RPG were one of the most popular video game categories for gamers, but over time their popularity has declined. In recent years, however, thanks also to the success of titles such as the last Divnity e Pillars of Eternity, it seems that the genre is experiencing a second youth.
Fans now have tons of historical games to play with and apparently soon they will also be able to get their hands on a completely new title. Koch Media indeed recently announced Encased, a new classic RPG at Divinity set in a dystopian and futuristic future.
Encased will be released much sooner than you think
Encased is a title post-apocalyptic that it doesn’t take itself too seriously and that it makes extensive use of that humor typical of the Fallout series. The game is set in the not-too-distant past, but it was strongly influenced by the discovery of a mysterious and powerful technology. Encased is currently in development by Dark Crystal Games e will be released exclusively on PC in September this year, that is, in less than 3 months.
