Lenovo has announced al CES 2023 the new model ThinkBook Plus Twist with flip screen. The company also unveiled the new laptop ThinkBook 16p Gen 4il dock wireless ThinkBook 13x Gen 2 and the ThinkCentre neo 50q.

In just two years, ThinkBook Plus has become synonymous with quality for SMBs together with ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 with e-Ink display and Gen 3 with a second 8-inch display next to the keyboard.

And if 2020 was the year of the ThinkBook Plus, 2023 can only be the new ThinkBook Plus Twist integrated with an innovative dual rotating display for multi-modal versatility while improving the consumer experience.

The features of the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist

In particular, Lenovo’s design and engineering team listened to customer feedback and user opinions by incorporating numerous improvements and innovations into the ThinkBook Plus Twist such as:

  • new processors 13th generation Intel Core;
  • a new 13.3-inch 2.8K OLED display with narrow bezel, touch glass and pivoting hinge;
  • a new 12-inch front-lit color e-Ink display on the upper frame with an improved 12Hz refresh rate and touch glass;
  • Intel Wi-Fi 6E which improves the performance and stability of wireless connectivity on supported networks;
  • full size pen support on OLED and e-Ink displays with up to 18 months battery life.

The ThinkBook Plus Twist is extremely versatile and can be used in a classic clamshell or tablet format. Additionally, travelers will appreciate the e-Ink display in typewriter or e-paper mode to easily draw, edit and correct documents using the keyboard or pen.

And for more advanced document or image workflows, users can use OLED tablet mode and interact via the pen on the display 400nit 2.8K.

For video conferencing, users can rely on an FHD camera and exceptional audio thanks to dual microphones. Plus, users can harness the full power of 13th Generation Intel Core processors and Windows 11 for the ultimate in high-performance productivity.

ThinkBook 16p Gen 4 with optional Lenovo Magic Bay accessories delivers maximum power and productivity with:

  • new processors Intel Core serie H 13th generation with optional discrete graphics up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060;
  • display options up to a 16-inch 3.2K 165Hz panel with Dolby Vision support;
  • DDR5 memory and dual SSD support with up to 2TB of storage.

The battery is 80 Wh with fast-charging capabilities, the glass touchpad is larger and smoother, and the four user-facing Harman Kardon speakers deliver immersive audio whether you’re on a conference call or gaming.

An important feature of this PC is the magnetic pogo pin connector found at the top of the display, designed to fit Lenovo Magic Bay modular accessories, which can transform the ThinkBook into a video streaming home studio or offer the added benefit of connectivity 4G LTE for work and play on the go.

As for connectivity, Lenovo Magic Bay LTE It’s designed to deliver 4G LTE speeds for added flexibility, while including an LED indicator for connection status and a wired USB Type-C port for compatibility with other laptops.

The future is wireless

Lenovo has introduced its first full-featured wireless charging solution for the ThinkBook 13x Gen 2: the ThinkBook Wireless Dock per ThinkBook 13x Gen 2. Combining several cutting-edge technologies, the new solution uses Wi-Fi 6, Power-by-Contact and universal wireless charging.

Using Power-by-Contact is a revolutionary technology: simply place your laptop on the charging pad and the connection information is automatically retrieved from the wireless dock over Wi-Fi. When you remove the laptop, the connection drops preventing any remaining data connection.

Wireless docking allows users to enjoy low latency dual displays up to 4K at 60Hz resolution along with blazing data transfer speeds. The wireless dock includes three USB-A ports, one USB-C port, and a Lenovo slim-tip connector. The Wireless Dock will be bundled with select 2023 ThinkBook 13x Gen 24 models.

Tiny ThinkCentre neo

After the revolution of the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist, here comes ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4.

It is a modern and enhanced version of the classic ThinkCentre Tiny desktop, with the latest processors 13th generation Intel Core enclosed in a small 1L chassis and with a hidden ventilation integrated in the faceplate.

Providing up to 1TB of blazing-fast SSD storage paired with 1TB2 HDD storage and up to 32GB of DDR4 memory, the ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4 features Wi-Fi 6 connectivity with extensive port options, including a customizable BTB port. It is also available with pre-installed Windows 11 or IGEL (IGEL Ready Advanced) operating system with protection Lenovo ThinkShield.

The design is modern and elegant and following Lenovo’s environmentally sustainable policy it is low halogen, equipped with an energy-efficient mobile processor. The upper chassis is also made with 85% post-consumer recycled content (PCC), while the rest of the chassis is made with 35% PCC. The packaging is plastic and free of paint in raw materials.

For an even more sustainable approach, Lenovo CO2 Offset Service can be added to offset the carbon emissions produced during the product life cycle.

Prices and availability in Italy

The availability in Italy and the price of Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist will be communicated later. Instead ThinkBook 16p Gen 4 it will be available in our country from this summer, but for the moment the price has not been disclosed.

Lenovo Magic Bay will be sold exclusively with the ThinkBook 16p Gen 4 at a cost that is currently yet to be disclosed ThinkBook Wireless Dock for ThinkBook 13x Gen 2 will be available in Italy in bundle with ThinkBook from this summer, but the prices will be communicated at a later time.

ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4 with Windows 11 it will also be available in Italy from this summer at a cost yet to be discovered.
