Let’s start Round One, the Italian event dedicated to eSports

The second edition of Round One, the Italian event organized by IIDEA and Ninetynine dedicated to the fascinating world of eSports, begins today, 5 October. The presentation event was held this morning at the OGR in Turin and saw IIDEA, UniCredit (premium partner of the event) and Fondazione CRT together to present the program of this edition. The Round One program, between video games and eSports

Round One will last two days and includes the construction of over 20 talks and panels, more than 35 Italian and international guests prominent e over 60 companies willing to arrange business meetings. 2 days therefore dedicated to the world of video games and the ever-growing phenomenon of eSports which, finally also in Italy, are experiencing a great expansion and above all greater consideration by the public, companies and institutions.

Round One is in fact added to the long list of initiatives of IIDEA, the trade association of the video game industry in Italy, to allow companies to grow their business on this issue. Not only that, the event will also be a precious opportunity to explore interesting issues still to be explored and to meet industry experts. Publishers, Brands, event organizers and many other professionals will be on hand to further raise awareness on eSports and their potential.

Thalita Malagò, General Manager of IIDEA, declared: “Round One was created to encourage business development, promote the professionalization of operators, give brands within and outside the sector, media and institutions the opportunity to fully understand the world of esports. Last year’s experience spurred us to do better this year and to gather all speakers and leading partners for the Italian and international competitive gaming ecosystem in two days of the event. We are very proud of the program we offer to participating companies and are confident that Round One can become an unmissable event for those who want to operate in this sector ”.

His voice was joined by that of Matteo Pessione, Coordinator of OGR Tech and CRT Foundation Innovation Projects, who stated: “OGR Torino, as a hub of contemporary culture and innovation, is a natural home for Round One. At OGR Tech, in fact, we have invested in gaming from the beginning as an area with a high development rate, with acceleration programs and gathering international excellence and key players in the sector in our community, including creativity, experimentation and the aim of enhancing and attracting talent to the city. From Round One, an accelerator for the competitive gaming industry, we expect to consolidate our presence at European level also in esports and the birth of other virtuous collaborations, in support of business innovation “
