LG is developing three displays for Apple, including a 32 ″ one for the Pro Display XDR
The news comes from MacRumors, which mentions the leaker @dylandkt, which in the past has shown that it can predict the arrival of Apple products with good accuracy. Sources inside LG report that the screens have no particular denomination nor bitten Apples engraved to ensure that they are for Apple. But some features of the displays make Dylan dkt conclude that they are indeed the products for iMac and Pro Display XDR.
According to reports from the leaker, the two 27 and 32-inch products exploit the Mini technology–LED, which Apple has been focusing on in recent years. They both offer the technology ProMotion, with a refresh variabile a 120Hz. But the big news lies in the larger model, which uses an unspecified Apple Silicon chip. In July, sources close to the Apple suggested it might be one modified version of an A13 chip, already seen on the iPhone, which can be used as a GPU without using PC resources.
This information aligns with what the analyst said Mark Gurman, Bloomberg expert. Apple is thinking about a display consumer, therefore less expensive than the $ 5,000 Pro Display XDR that pros leverage instead.
Instead, the 24 and 27-inch models would instead be used for iMacs, probably for the Pro version which should arrive in 2022 with chip M1 Pro e Max, respectively.
