Excelsior! The statue of Marvel’s dad can be found swinging between the buildings in the neighborhood of Upper West Sideis located to the left of Central Park. Look on the map for a building that faces diagonally at 45 degrees. The Stan Lee statue is located exactly near the place called Mick’s Dineris in the same place where it was in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The statue also has a phrase engraved on it which quotes verbatim words which in Italian are translated as:
Dedicated with love to the man who nurtured the hearts, minds and souls of True Dreamers, Excelsior!

It’s not the first time that Insomniac has paid homage to the creator of Spider-Man in its video game. The Stan Lee statue is not only found in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, in fact the statue was also shown in spin-off con Miles Morales e in Marvel’s Spider-Man. Stan makes his first appearance in the first chapter in a scene where Peter and MJ reunite in Mick’s diner after a long time, after Spider-Man saves her at the Fisk art museum from being attacked by Martin’s men There. The well-known cartoonist makes a cameo of her talking to MJ about her referring to her and to Peter about her saying “it’s nice to see you together again, you’ve always been my favourites!”.

Finding the Stan Lee statue isn’t the only big surprise Insomniac has given us. There are many other references to the Marvel universe in the game world, from Dr. Strange’s Sancta Santorum, the Avengers Tower and the Fantastic 4 base. Going with Miles toWakandan Embassythe character will pay his respects to Chadwick Boseman with the gesture of Black Panther and you can also find Aunt May’s grave, which will in turn give you a trophy.
