Mooney is the first Italian company of Proximity Banking & Payments which offers free to Third Sector Entities the ability to manage donations through their payment platform in a secure, fast and traceable way: from sending a personalized digital notice to donors up to immediate reporting of the sums collected. The company’s ultimate goal is to connect fintech to the world of Third sector, to give life to the largest donation and solidarity network in Italy, promoting the digitization and security of payments.
Mooney focuses on the Third Sector
The initiative was presented today during a webinar moderated by Giuseppe Ambrosio, CEO of Vita Magazine with the participation of Emilio Petrone, CEO Mooney, Salvatore Borgese, General Manager Commercial & Banking Services Mooney, e Serena Porcari, CEO Dynamo Camp and Dynamo Academy, representing the first non-profit organization to use the service.

This new service allows citizens to donate, within the established limits at the point of sale through a QR code generated following a message (email, whatsapp or sms) sent by ONLUS of reference. Furthermore, the volunteers present in the area will be able to pay, within the established limits, the sums collected in cash in the various initiatives conveniently in bars, tobacconists and newsstands affiliated with Mooney.
An advanced reporting service available to NGOs records the progress of campaigns and transactions in real time. During the fundraisers carried out in the square, it is possible to donate with cash or cards at a
Mooney sales point, if already registered in the database of the respective association, reporting the payment receipt to the volunteer present in the area.
The forerunner is Dynamo Camp Onlus
During specific periods of the year or for targeted fundraising projects, the platform will allow NGOs to send donors also personalized alerts and, through the store locator, the recipient will be able to find the nearest Mooney partner point in which to make the payment. Furthermore, on the occasion of charitable events organized by the institution such as dinners and concerts, it will be possible to provide for the proceeds for participation through the platform, limiting the use of cash.
