Sometimes they come back, and this time for real: MultiVersus has a release date, after having made us fly with early access last year
To be precise, the one that opened in 2022 was an open beta, but after the servers were closed for almost a year we have confirmation that MultiVersus will come back, with one exit date definitive. The free-to-play alternative to the most famous platform fighters (such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which we particularly appreciate in these parts) by Warner Bros. Games divided the audience. On the one hand it suffered from lame servers, excessive monetization and slow progress; on the other hand, however, the title has proven to be very popular due to the particular formula based on pair battles. Now, WB Games and Player First Games have announced that the game will return permanently.
The release date of MultiVersus

The game will return with quite a few changes and additions, as you would expect after such a long period of absence. To get started, the graphics engine is nowUnreal Engine 5. Also the eponym Dexter’s Laboratory will appear as a scenario. Improvements to the roster (including the fighters already present) aside, one new PvE mode “will introduce new game modes and unique rewards.” The game will be available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series
