NASA isn’t just about launching rockets into space. The US space agency is in fact about to launch one new streaming platformcall NASAPluswhich will be accessible to all from November 8th.
The platform had already been in the testing phase for some time, but will now be open to the public.
What is NASA Plus and how does it differ from other streaming platforms
NASA Plus will be different from other commercial platforms, because it will have neither advertising nor subscription costs. Users will be able to follow NASA space missions live and watch a series of original videos, including some new features that will debut with the platform.
The creation of NASA Plus is part of a digital transformation process for the organization, which has also revamped its website and app. To anticipate the launch of the platform, NASA has released a trailer showing some breathtaking images of our planet and the universe.
NASA Plus comes at an important time for the space agency, which is preparing the first lunar mission with four astronauts in 52 years. The mission Artemis II it will launch around November 2024 and will take astronauts to the surface of the Moon, thanks to the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the Orion spacecraft.
