Netflix is distributing a visual update to users of Apple TV. The company’s new update now makes support for the tvOS 15 player and also to Siri Remote. Let’s find out all the details together.
Netflix update on Apple TV: here’s what’s coming
Netflix started rolling out update 2.1.23 a few days ago and thanks to the automatic update of the Apple TV, it should be already available for Netflix users. With tvOS 15TV show and movie titles now appear in large fonts: you can find them in the area in bottom left of the screenwhen the progress bar is presented.
The titles of the episodes, on the other hand, appear in smaller type just above the series name. The new update also brings a new information buttonwhich is a visual clue to the content detail page where it is possible restart an episode, browse multiple episodes e light video descriptions.
That said, Netflix is yet another streaming service to no longer include a swipe-down interface to manage the video language, captions and sound output settings thanks to thetvOS interface 15. Not only that: with this new interface, Netflix is also finally supporting the new one Siri Remotelaunched together with the Apple TV 4K 2021.
Paramount + and HBO Max, moreover, belong to the category of streaming services that also use the Apple’s native player for the Apple TV. Unfortunately, at least for now, Netflix does not offer still compatibility with theapp TV nor with the recent features that Apple has released alongside tvOS 15.4.
