According to what has emerged in the past few hours, the development study Digital Legends would be looking for staff to start work on a new one Call of Duty Mobile. At the moment it is not clear whether this is a new project or a direct sequel to Call of Duty Warzone, but given the amount of talent required by the software house, it is likely that it is a title still in the early stages of development.
New Call of Duty mobile in development
Among the professionals sought by Digital Legends we find graphic designers, artists, programmers and gameplay designers, together with many high professionals in the sector who can make the process of creating this new Call of Duty easier and faster. As we have anticipated, it is difficult to imagine that the project has already started, given the amount of staff that Digital Legend is looking for.
It is interesting to note that recently it was confirmed that they were in development well three games in the franchise, that is Call of Duty Warzone 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 by Infinity Ward and a third yet unknown title developed by Treyarch and which should be released at the end of 2023. It is therefore clear that the clues indicate that this mobile title is indeed Warzone 2, even if it is too early to say for sure.
It must be said, however, that the title is in good hands, given that Digital Legends is one of Activision’s most renowned mobile studios. Consequently, it would be reasonable to expect great things from a new Call of Duty mobile developed by this team.
In any case, we will certainly have a clearer picture of the situation in the coming months, when we will probably also receive news about the upcoming games belonging to the franchise.
