Some patent images of the new FIAT Panda have been leaked which are making all fans of the car manufacturer very curious, will the company’s new car really be like this?
We have already had an interesting and curious surprise, when FIAT presented us the Topolino Dolcevita, demonstrating that the Turin company is also interested in the world of electric cars. Now the automaker has published patent images online of what could be the new FIAT Panda, which show nothing more than a mysterious mockup where we can get an idea of what the new model will look like. But will it really be like this?
Will the new FIAT Panda really be like this?
The points in common that the new Panda has with the current one there are very few. On the other hand, we already know that the new model will be completely different from the last one and that it will in fact also be produced in 100% electric version. However, we can note some references to concept Centoventi that FIAT presented a few years ago. In front, for example, we can notice the presence of LED headlights that have shapes similar to those of the concept, joined together by a light strip. On the sides there are rectangular-shaped secondary lights. The front, however, is closed, but that’s normal, given that the new Panda will be electric. In profile we notice some plastic side bumpers which, although with very different shapes, recall both those of the concept and those of the current Panda. Behind, however, we see Squircle-shaped light clusters, a cross between a circle and a square. The same shape is also used for the light signature of the secondary headlights on the front.
There is also a spoiler above the rear window. However, all this must be accepted with the necessary pliers, we can’t be sure if this is really the new Panda. In any case, they could present the new model theJuly 11th, when FIAT will celebrate its 125 years. On a mechanical level, the new FIAT Panda will be based on Stellantis Smart Car platformwhich they had already used for the new one Citroen e-C3. It means that the powertrain will consist of a single 83kW (113 HP) electric motor. It will be powered by a 44kWh lithium-iron-phosphate cell battery forautonomy of approximately 320 km. It must be said that this model will not replace the current model, which they will continue to produce until 2026. The new Panda should cost just over 20 thousand euros.
