The Italian-Turkish director Ferzan Ozpetek is close to debut on the platform Netflixwith the new movie New Olympus. This was revealed by the official teaser, released exclusively by the same streaming giant during the evening of the Sanremo 2023 Festival.
At a distance in four years from The goddess of luckand one year from The ignorant fairies – The series; Ferzan Özpetek has returned to work in a project written and directed by Ferzan Özpetek himself together with the collaboration of Gianni Romoli. The passionate love story in Rome at the end of the 70s, experienced by young lovers Damiano Gavino e Andrew DiLouis. Here is the official teaser.
New Olympus: Ferzan Özpetek and the love that never loses hope
The unmistakable and warm voice of Mina accompanies the first official teaser Of New Olympus; fourteenth film directed by Ferzan Ozpetek. First major collaboration between the Italian-Turkish director and the Netflix streaming platform; Nuovo Olimpo follows the story of two young 25-year-olds in Rome at the end of the 70s.
Fates casually crossed between the shadows and lights of a neighborhood arthouse cinema; in which the most fascinating and niche films and images form the backdrop to love that blossomed like a flower in spring. But an unexpected event puts an end to their overwhelming relationship.
However; the love in them continues never lose hope, leading the two to love each other intensely for thirty years; with the desire to meet again one day. At the moment no official release date has been revealed, but it is speculated will arrive in 2023.
