The release of Scream 5 is definitely upon us and now a new promotional image from the film shows us the horror icon lurking ready to attack his next victim.
It just looks like that Woodsboro is bound to be terrified of Ghostface again, after all these years away from the big screen. After twenty-six years from its first appearance, Ghostface still inspires fear in the hearts of fans and this new promotional image shows the masked killer posing with his trusty butcher knife in hand, ready to attack the next victim.
The identity of the killer and the cast of the film
All the promotion of this new and highly anticipated chapter, of which you can find the trailer here, has been concentrated on theidentity of the antagonist, many of the Scream 5 posters and promos of the film were, in fact, focused onconundrum about who the new Ghostface is.
Many have wondered if one of the original stars of the franchise may actually be hiding under the mask of Ghostface: Neve Campbell, David Arquette or Courteney Cox, interpreted respectively by Sidney Prescott, Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers.
Inserting one of the performers of the original films is a move that many spin-offs of historical sagas (such as Scream, in fact) are making, to hit straight to the hearts of the fans.
The rest of the cast includes Jenna Ortega, Dylan Minnette, Jack Quaid, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Kyle Gallner, Sonia Ben Ammar and Mikey Madison, and will be all suspects or potential victims.
We just have to wait on January 13th and run in the hall ready to be terrified, once again by the fearsome Ghostface!
