In this article we will look at the latest update for Windows 11 (here for more information on the operating system). Specifically, the search bar of the operating system has been updated. With Windows Search, finding a specific app or file is not difficult at all. Unfortunately, searching for “Windows” on Windows 11 can show up bugs and returning inaccurate results. But this is still one of the best ways to identify a ‘appand file or a ‘setting specific ones buried in the depths of the operating system.
Windows Search is integrated into the taskbar. Then you can click the search button next to Start and type or select one keyword in the search field to find it in the operating system. In Windows 10, you can click the search box at the bottom left of the taskbar. In Windows 11, the taskbar comes with a new search icon. By default, opens the best apps you useas well as Windows Search highlights which basically show Microsoft’s Bing content.
How the new Windows 11 search bar works
Microsoft is working on a search bar for the Windows 11 taskbar. This new feature, which is being tested internally, reverts the bar to the shape of Windows 10. Of course, the new search bar respects the modern design di Windows 11e WinUI 3.0.
Clicking on the bar opens the Windows search, which we will see aligned to the left by default. Unfortunately, you can’t right-click the search bar to change its settings. If you want to make changes to the taskbar, you will need to open theSettings app. This new search bar is being tested and we don’t know when it will start rolling out to users in the program Windows Insider.
