Winter Convergence is the new update of New World
The Winter Convergence Festival is the game’s first seasonal event. From December 16 to January 11 2022, it is possible to earn Tokens of Winter by repeatable missions throughout Aeternum. This way players will be able to earn new exclusive armor, weapons and more.

Also every day players will be able to receive three gifts from the Tree of Light found in each of the various settlements in the game. The tree of any city can be enhanced across the completion of missions of City Project, which will improve the daily rewards.
New World’s first major in-game event it will also leave a permanent mark on Aeternum. Mysterious and deadly ice caves have appeared throughout the game world and will persist after the event ends. Players will be able to explore them as and when they want.
The game’s ice-themed event, however, is just the tip of the iceberg. The new game update delivers many changes to every aspect of New World: from the balance of the weapons, to the modifications, to the crafting up to the gameplay.
Details of the new update
The various changes to endgame content and equipment are perhaps the most notable. The patch introduces the new system of Expertise, which requires players of a maximum level of increase their level of Expertise on an equipment slot basis in order to obtain the maximum efficiency from equipped items.
The update also introduces a new endgame crafting component, called Gypsum, which is earned by participating in a variety of endgame activities. This mode should offer players more power when it comes to improve their equipment e i levels of Expertise.
Regarding all changes introduced by the patch, the list is long. They have been added new missions in a number of territories, a new trading skill progression system, nerf to a variety of high-level enemies and much more.
