Lohan ‘Nexl’ Blanc is the winner of the final of the WRC 2021 eSports, the event presented by TOYOTA Gazoo on 8 September live from the Athens Olympic Velodrome. The championship featured 8 qualifying stages and 4 final stages on WRC 10, the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship. To participate 8 international players, who competed against each other to win both the WRC 2021 eSports World Champion title and a Yaris GR donated by TOYOTA Gazoo Racing. He then joined the race Zeniou_04, a ninth player who qualified in a special match dedicated to Greeks and Cypriots, in collaboration with Kotsovolos and Cosmote.
WRC 10: Nexl wins the WRC 2021 eSports World Champion title
During the WRC 2021 eSports the four drivers to qualify for the final four were Lohan ‘Nexl’ Blanc, Sami-Joe, Izamuzing and Noel. The final competition took place over four stages of the new WRC 10: Elva Reverse (Rally Estonia), Acropolis 1987 (Rally degli Dei), Querol Reverse (Rally Spain) and Kostanjevac Reverse (Rally Croatia). In the end, the race was won by Nexl, who took the victory in just 28:03 minutes spread over 4 stages. But this is certainly not new for the rider, who has already won the 2017 and 2019 editions.
And so, after missing the 2020 title, Nexl managed to redeem himself by scoring an important victory for his career. “I am very happy to have won this competition, I can’t believe it. I made some mistakes during the special stages, it’s a new circuit, a new race, we’ve all made some mistakes. That’s why I continue the competition, I’m very proud to have managed to win the race for the third time and to have been able to compete with such good riders “.
