In the past few hours, Nintendo has also joined the chorus, with a very tasty Direct in which several new upcoming titles have been shown. Between the announcement of the Super Mario RPG remake and the one relating to the brand new Super Mario Bros Wonder, there was also room for third party titles. Square Enix has indeed seized the opportunity and announced the remake of the second chapter of Star Oceanintitolato The Second Story R.

The trailer (which you can also view above) with which Star Ocean The Second Story R was announced during the latest Nintendo Direct offered an interesting glimpse into the return of this famous JRPG. Released for the first time only in the rising sun, in 1998 for the first PlayStation, the remake of this second chapter of the saga will be re-proposed for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5 and PC, with a truly exquisite 2.5D graphic design, which is very reminiscent of that from the Octopath Traveler series. The release is set for November 2, 2023, with pre-orders already open, for both digital and physical editions. With regard to the latter, it is also worth noting the presence of a limited Collector’s Edition, containing, in addition to the game, also the original soundtrack, an artbook and a collector’s box.
