The presentation of Nintendo Switch 2 on the stock market
There is also good news. The leaker himself claims to be aware of a Full Nintendo Direct scheduled for April this year and of an Indie World which should instead take place in March. This will be a great show in its own right and we might see both Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door again. However, let’s remember that we are talking about rumors and taking everything with the usual pinch of salt.
When the news arrived Nintendo shares tumbled 6% on the Tokyo stock exchange, just after the company had become the most profitable in Japan; according to Circana analyst: Stephen Totilo, the postponement of Switch 2 and its presentation is very bad news for the entire industry in a year full of closures and layoffs. The lack of the new Nintendo console could compromise the quantity of sales in the hardware sector and bring about a sudden slowdown.
