The Nissan Formula E Team has entered into a new partnership with the sustainable fashion start-up Coral Eyewear: let’s find out together what it’s about!
The Nissan Formula E Team has announced its collaboration with the sunglasses and clothing company Coral Eyewear, with a multi-year agreement. The partnership will see Coral Eyewear supply its signature products, made using recycled plastic and materials of plant originto all members of the Nissan Formula E Team throughout the 2023/24 campaign and beyond. Furthermore, the brand will launch a special edition of the sunglasses dedicated to the Nissan Formula E Team, decorated with the team colors and logosahead of the inaugural Tokyo E-Prix at the end of March.

Nissan Formula E Team and Coral Eyewear: premium quality with low impact
Founded in 2019 by George and Calvin Bailey, Coral Eyewear aims to deliver elegant and luxury glasses using production methods based on recycled and plant-based materials. The innovative idea attracted the attention of English TV presenter Jake Humphrey, who has since invested in the young company. Obviously it is always very high attention to environmental responsibility at every stage of the brand’s production and distribution process.

This is the first British brand to use in their glasses ECONYLⓇ regenerated nylon, handmade in their factory in Italy. The cutting-edge polymer prevents 65,100 tonnes of CO2eq emissions for every 10,000 tons of raw material, leading to one 90% reduction in environmental impact compared to petroleum-based nylon. Recycled paper and PET are used in all packaging, labels and eyeglass wipes. On top of that, the chosen delivery partner, DPD, handles 1,600 electric vehicles across the UKensuring sustainability from the factory to the final delivery of the product.
