Yokohama, Japan – At the Japan Mobility Show, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. unveiled the Nissan Hyper Force, the “grand finale” of its innovative series of five “hyper” concept cars. The Brand continues to demonstrate its ability to meet a wide range of customer needs and anticipate trends with great innovation and enthusiasm.
The Nissan Hyper Force is a high-performance electric supercar, which aims to offer great fun and ride comfort.
It is powered by an electric engine capable of producing power of up to 1,000 kW and power is provided by a solid-state battery, for always optimal balance.
The aerodynamics, Nissan’s integral e-4ORCE technology and carbon bodywork promise exceptional trajectory changes on circuits and winding roads. Makoto Uchida, President and CEO of Nissan:
The five concept cars presented today are symbols of the future and embody our credo, that is, ‘to dare what others don’t dare’. Electric vehicles symbolize our future of creating a cleaner, safer and more inclusive world for all, without compromising our passions and dreams. Through the power of innovation, Nissan is creating a tomorrow where everyone can enjoy the thrills of mobility.
A design that leaves no doubt about performance
The exterior design, with its bold proportions, is a mix of elegant curves and bold geometries that hint at performance.
The designers then incorporated elements, such as the front and rear lights, that recall Nissan sports cars. The bodywork boasts excellent aerodynamic performance, achieved together with the NISMO racing team. The aerodynamic structure under the front hood provides both strong downforce and high cooling flow. Meanwhile, the two-level rear diffuser optimally controls the airflow.
The car is equipped with an active system which even boasts an innovative plasma actuator, which controls the detachment of air flows to maximize grip when cornering. Finally, the lightweight forged carbon wheels aid the ride and brake cooling.
The interior of Nissan Hyper Force: balance between comfort and technology
The concept presented at the Japan Mobility Show features two driving modes, “R” (racing) and “GT” (gran touring). The user interface changes color and graphics display based on the chosen mode and is designed to instantly show the most useful information to the driver in that specific mode. This graphic is the result of collaboration with Polyphony Digital Inc.
The driver and front passenger seats are made of lightweight and rigid carbon fiberwhich allows comfortable driving over long distances and are equipped with four-point seat belts.
Safety then plays a crucial role in the design of this concept car. Thanks to advanced autonomous driving with Hyper LIDAR and a series of sensors optimized for sports driving, the vehicle is designed to guarantee a very high level of safety both on public roads and on circuits.
A concept in step with the times
Adding to the appeal of the Nissan Hyper Force is the innovative augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experience that allows you to drive in both the real and virtual worlds seamlessly.
When the vehicle is stationary, the driver can use a special virtual reality helmet that allows you to experience a gaming-style driving experiencecomplete with modes that allow you to compete against yourself or other users online.
Marking a step change in the performance car industry, the Nissan Hyper Force meets the evolving needs of environmentally conscious customers. With its distinctly green nature, electrifying performance and cutting-edge safety equipment, This concept represents Nissan’s most revolutionary idea for a 100% electric high-performance supercar.
