Nissan has completely redesigned the front, with a new grille inspired by the “Japanese samurai armor”, composed of three-dimensional glossy black elements with satin chrome details. The new light clusters have clearer lines and writing “Nissan” illuminated on the outer edge. The bumper is also updated. And the top-of-the-range versions feature gloss black finishes for the door moldings and wheel arches, as well as new 19″ and 20″ alloy wheels.
The interior has inserts Alcantara, decorative motifs and new seat covers in leather and quilted eco-leather. The range is enriched with the new setup N-Designwith external elements in body color and 20″ alloy wheels for greater presence on the road.
Under the hood, the Qashqai confirms the revolutionary electrified powertrain e-POWER. It consists of an electric motor that moves the wheels and a heat engine that produces electricity. Nissan promises the driving pleasure typical of EVs with brilliant and linear acceleration, without the need for plug-in charging.
Technology for everyone
On the technological front, the new Qashqai offers a Around View Monitor Improved with 3D function and moving object detection. Plus, wide-angle front camera for tackling intersections or exits with limited visibility. And then more responsive driver assistance systems and updated connectivity services, including the Google suite (both Maps and Assistant) integrated and access to the smart home system Alexa di Amazon.
The new Nissan Qashqai presents itself as a completely renewed product, which maintains the essence of the original model consolidating its strengths with technological improvements and innovations. Produced at Nissan's Sunderland plant, where over 1.3 million examples have been built since 2007, the Qashqai will arrive in dealerships soon.
