Bloomberg expert, Mark Gurmanconfirms what has already been said recently: no Apple event in October 2022. In fact, he thinks the Apple has closed the ads with great fanfare from Apple Park for this year. But that doesn’t mean they won’t be there new products coming, announced however in a more discreet way.
Apple: no event in October, but products on the way
In the latest edition of his “Power On” newsletter, Mark Gurman, a real authority when it comes to announcements from Cupertino, explained that Apple will no longer hold major launch events (like the two our Fjona attended) . Instead it should announce new products with press releases and updates from online stores.
In particular, by the end of the year the Apple is expected to show new versions of iPad Pro (both 11 and 12.9 inches) in addition to the new ones MacBook Pro 14 and 16 inchesalong with the new ones Mac mini: all with chip M2. But they should only update the chip, already shown at the launch of the new MacBook Air. So no streaming presentation for all fans.
The Apple is also expected to announce a new one Apple TV with A14 chip and up to 4GB of RAMwith a high probability that it will debut by the end of the year.
Among the products that will undoubtedly arrive next year there is iPhone 15, which Gurman explains it will not have a Touch ID, as many hoped. In fact, although Apple is actually studying an under-screen fingerprint reader, Gurman has “not heard of anything like this in the works.” More likely a Touch ID on the side unlock button for the next iPhone SE.
Finally, Gurman reports that Apple is studying the sleep monitoring through HomePod (something Google has already unveiled for its Nests). But it’s not clear when it will hit the market.
