After a long wait – and expectations -, the earphones finally arrive Nothing Ear 1, the first product launched on the market by Nothing, the new hi-tech company created by Carl Pei, co-founder of One Plus. And the wireless earbuds unveiled today demonstrate this perfectly.
Nothing Ear 1: all the features
An avant-garde design
It has been rumored for some time that the design of the Nothing Ear 1 earphones would amaze with its incredible originality. And so it is. The headphones are in fact made in a transparent material, which thus allows you to fully appreciate the technology it contains. Incredibly light – weighing 4.7 g – these earphones are designed to ensure maximum comfort for the wearer. The ergonomic design, the air vents to relieve pressure and the three tips of liquid silicone for customizing the fit promise users to wear the headphones and forget them altogether. And actually, apparently, the feeling of the wearer is just that.
All the technical features
Let’s start off strong with the technical details. The Nothing Ear 1, in fact, are equipped with a 11.6 mm dynamic driver which ensures a rich and enveloping sound. Added to this is a spacious air chamber, which allows the music to expand and realize its full potential. And that’s not all. As you can imagine, the software and hardware have been carefully selected to ensure optimal bass, mid and high performance. Finally, the Bluetooth connectivity 5.2 guarantees continuous and flawless listening. Beyond what has been said so far, one of the details that most impressed us is the system of Active Noise Cancellation. Users, in fact, will have at their disposal two modes to adjust the background noise levels.
The “Light” mode allows moderate noise cancellation, while the “Maximum” is suitable for much noisier and more disturbing environments, such as the plane or the office. But when you are willing to listen to what is around you, you just need to activate the “Transparency” mode by touching the base of the earphones. For calls, however, the Nothing Ear 1 earphones use the tecnologia Clear Voice to make your voice heard loud and clear. All this thanks to the equipment of three high definition microphones, and advanced algorithms that analyze the voice to isolate and amplify it with clarity.
An inexhaustible power
Power is undoubtedly one of the most incredible features of Nothing’s new wireless earphones. These ensure up to 5.7 hours of listening, and 34 hours with the case, able to offer super-fast charging: 10 minutes of charging inside the case are enough to ensure up to 8 hours of power in a day. To this you must add that the Nothing Ear 1 can be comfortably recharged wirelessly, being compatible with all Qi chargers. But the company has decided to go further by equipping the product with useful features for users. These include the “Find my earphones” option, which will allow you to find the headphones by emitting a clear and recognizable sound. But also in-ear detection and quick pairing. In short, a pair of wireless earphones designed for comfortable and practical use. And for this reason, the product is resistant to sweat and water.
