A new category of monitors – 1440p ESports
With the global growth of eSports, the demand for dedicated displays has doubled every year. 1080p displays have dominated this market for over a decade, as the lower resolution allowed for higher and faster frame rates and refresh rates. Because with today’s best GeForce RTX GPUs this is already possible play eSports games well above 360 fps at 1440p, it is correct to think that the sector is ready for a change. NVIDIA Research has found that 27-inch 1440p displays can improve the gaming experience by up to 3% over traditional 24-inch 1080 displays, especially when targeting small targets within a game. For competitive games where every millisecond counts, 3% can often mean the difference between winning and losing.
