Octopus Energy brings its own public charging platform for electric vehicles, Octopus Electroversefrom the United Kingdom into Italiaas well as in France e Spain. The aim is to simplify operations at charging stations for electric cars: “one card, one app”.
Octopus Electroverse, the charging platform arrives in Italy
Launched in the UK in 2020, this platform serves today one in four drivers in the UK, outperforming every other public charging service in the country. From today, Italians will also be able to experience Octopus Electroverse, having access to over half a million charging points in 580 operators distributed in 40 countries. In Italy, Electroverse has access to 36,476 charging stations provided by 60 different partnerscovering more than 90% of the national territory.
This expansion into Italy is a natural step for Octopus Energy, considering the current situation rebirth of the Italian automotive market in 2023. The electric vehicle sector is expected to reach a value of 6.8 billion euros by the end of the year, reflecting a broader trend in the European Union. Which recorded an increase in60% in electric vehicle sales in July this year.
