OnePlus may be working on a new limited edition device, in particular we are talking about a themed Nord 2 Pac Man. The information was obtained by analyzing the code of the recent OxygenOS A.11 update, which brought to light several interesting curiosities: one of these concerns the most iconic yellow face in the history of gaming.
OnePlus: is a Pac Man-themed Nord 2 coming?
We have already seen the Chinese company produce a number of devices inspired by famous historical franchises over the years, including even Star Wars e Cyberpunk 2077. Now it appears that a limited edition Nord 2 inspired by Pac-Man is in progress.
The evidence to that effect is becoming more and more solid, given that in the recent update OxygenOS A.11 some interesting curiosities have emerged for the OnePlus Nord CE devices. In fact, some data miners have discovered a new animation related to the recognition of the fingerprint, which presents the yellow face of Pac-Man chased by ghosts, all above a maze-style padlock icon.
Several other code strings include various references to stickers which can be unlocked after completing various activities, such as charging the device for a total of 256 minutes. In this case it is a reference to the last level of the original arcade game, the game over for the title itself.
Other notable hardware features include the ricarica wireless, which is missing on the Nord 2 standard. The device, powered by MediaTek 1200, could also receive a chipset modification over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778, at least according to other code strings found in this initial report.
However, there is no indication as to when OnePlus would intend to announce this new device, which is why we will have to remain uncertain for a while longer.
