Oppo Find N2 Flip he stayed with us for two weeks.
Two weeks that also include the trip to Barcelona for the Mobile World Congress and which therefore allowed us to thoroughly stress this leaflet to understand how it behaves in real life. After all, this is the question we need to answer: Is it comfortable in everyday life? Is useful? Does this make sense?
Oppo Find N2 flip review
Oppo Find N2 Flip it is the first leaflet from the Chinese company to land on our market.
And it doesn’t seem to be a random choice.
Let’s try to explain better.
Oppo can look back on the experience gained in China with Find N and Find N2, two devices that have allowed the Asian company to test the format, understand consumer needs and perfect the product. All this to arrive in the West with something that could give a hard time to the competition, namely Samsung and Motorola.
The result? A terminal that we loved: it is comfortable, compact, resistant, performing and versatile. Not yet perfect – we anticipate it – but we are close to it.
Design
We only made him wear the plastic cover included in the package during the trip.
A choice that could send shivers down someone’s spine but which made sense to us: far from our routine, from the office and from our home, we thought it was the safest choice to preserve its integrity and bring it home without a scratch. However, ours was a scruple, an act of prevention; indeed basic Oppo Find N2 Flip boasts excellent build quality. There are no creaks and sags, it is solid and closes without leaving any space.
On the back we find the Gorilla Glass 5 while the frame is in aluminum alloy, a sign of Oppo’s great attention to durability. On the back, when closed, we find the company logo positioned at the height of the hinge, a hinge designed to withstand 400,000 openings and closures and designed to make a little more resistance at the beginning and then become softer as you open it . And yes, it’s a sensible choice because it prevents accidental openings.
The system devised by the Chinese giant also allows Find N2 Flip to stay bent when it is between 45 and 110 degrees, which helps you especially in taking photos and videos and during video calls.
The weight is 191 grams, perfectly in line with the market average, while the thickness is 7.5mm when open and 15mm when closed. Too? Absolutely not, on the contrary, it fits comfortably in your pocket.
Oppo Find N2 Flip: fotocamera
On the camera front it performs quite well, and this does not surprise us. In short, Find X5 Pro had particularly impressed us last year and is still one of the best cameraphones on the market today. Here we have different sensors but always the dedicated chip, the Marisilicon Xand the optimization done with Hasselblad.
During the day, the 50 megapixel main sensor gives away great shots as well as the 8 megapixel ultra-wide angle. The artificial intelligence gives you a little extra without being intrusive, which means that the colors remain natural and never overly fake and bright.
Main sensor
Even at night you can get sharp shots with little noise and excellent color rendering.

The portrait mode is also convincing, even if it sometimes works “too” well. In fact, the software cuts out the subject flawlessly, including beards and hair, but blurs everything in an excessively homogeneous way. There is a lack of gradualness and therefore sometimes the shots seem fake, as if the subject had been photoshopped against the background. It’s not necessarily a bad thing since it detaches a lot and people emerge clearly, just know that you will notice this a lot when the subject is not centered.

We conclude with the XPAN mode with photos that simulate the Hasselblad 35mm format. The images it returns are very cinematic but perhaps hardly shareable on social media.

E i video? Oppo Find N2 Flip arriva a 4K e 30 fps. No 60 fps and no 8K, a limit imposed by the processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+, which, however, did not weigh us at all. In fact, we rarely shoot in 4K. Not to mention that both in 4K and in Full HD at 30 or 60 fps the electronic stabilization is really good, which guarantees smooth and sharp footage.
Display
The main display is a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED with FullHD+ resolution, refresh rate up to 120 Hz and, above all, the ability to set the color mode you prefer by choosing one of Vivace, Natural and Pro; the latter includes 2 options: Brilliant and Cinematic, probably the one with the best rendering.
The brightness is also good in the sun, and that goes for the 3.26-inch external screen. It is the largest in its category but at the moment it cannot be fully exploited yet.
Let’s try to explain better.
Today there are only 5 widgets: time, camera, weather, calendar and timer. In the future, according to what was declared by Oppo, others will arrive that will probably unlock the potential of this display which, of course, already allows you to consult notifications and reply to messages with emojis and preset phrases.
Performance
This Find N2 Flip is very fast, very comfortable, very powerful and very versatile. The only con is the software. On board we have the ColorOS, Oppo’s personalized interface that we also find on other smartphones and which it provides here a handful of functions related to the foldable nature of the smartphoneand, functions that are almost exclusively related to the camera.
This means that, compared to the competition, there are a few fewer options, but it fits: the foldable software is optimized over time thanks to the experience gained by the company and the feedback received from users, which means that we could see new optimizations in the future that will further improve the user experience.
Apart from this, however, we certainly cannot complain about the ColorOS that has proven itself fluid and complete as on the other members of the Find family.
We can only fully promote the 4,300 mAh battery. Over 1 day and 4 hours of screen access. An obvious plus of this little guy who, autonomy side, it easily beats the competition.
The Oppo Find N2 Flip review: conclusions
How much does Oppo Find N2 Flip cost? 1,199 euros in the 8/256 GB version. And yes, in our opinion it is an absolutely adequate price for a smartphone that it’s really greatin all: beautiful design, excellent performance, two level displays, interesting autonomy and then a high-level camera.
We really liked it a lot.
But let’s go back to the initial questions.
It is comfortable? Absolutely yes. The compact format allows it to fit anywhere, pocket included, without being annoying.
Is useful? Well, the fact that it is foldable helps you in some situations such as video calls, photos and videos.
Does this make sense? Sure, mostly if you want a super portable device without giving up.
