Oppo, 6G technology is coming
In the 6G White Paper 2023OPPO explores how 6G will enable two emerging markets with one billion users each, both significantly impacting the other — Mobile AI Computing and the Mobile Metaverse — by leveraging faster, multi-dimensional data transmission, enhanced AI capabilities and improved data perception to blend physical and virtual worlds.
To meet the needs of 6G communication and AI computing, OPPO proposed a system design called ‘Minimized Kernel’ which provides a core set of common functionality via a minimal subsystem, along with a set of subsystems optimized for specific use cases. Using a ‘minimal to full kernel transition’ approach, the proposed system design enables on-demand access to optimal processing units, realizing efficient and flexible network performance with reduced cost and power consumption to build the foundation of systems of future communications.
Oppo analyzes the challenges and security requirements for 6G networks
In the second white paper, the 6G Security White Paper, OPPO addresses the challenges and security requirements for 6G networks. The paper examines how 6G security priorities will shift from data transmission security to data security to user privacy. To address this, OPPO is exploring technologies, including blockchain, physical layer security, AI security and post-quantum security, with the aim of building azero impact 6G security architecture.
This architecture aims to protect the security and privacy of user data and services, flexibly introduce new security capabilities based on service offerings, and adapt future security development in real time.
Oppo, go beyond investment of startups

AlpsenTek for computer vision
To be successful, the startup they need more than just an idea. AlpsenTekspecializing in computer vision, has leveraged financial and technical support from OPPO to integrate its innovative ALPIX-Eiger hybrid vision sensor with algorithmic artificial intelligence capabilities.
Leveraging Qualcomm’s Snapdragon mobile platforms, OPPO has led the development of a set of AI motion algorithms that can process information from the sensor to sharpen images and help users capture moments realistically. This has allowed AlpsenTek’s cutting-edge technology to be applied to smartphones and give them the ability to drive further AI-related innovations for both parties.
DeepMirror
As OPPO invested in XR, another startup – DeepMirror – joined the OPPO innovation network. To help the company be quickly recognized by the industry, OPPO invited DeepMirror to showcase its latest AR game at MWC24. Thanks to its cloud-based service, MirrorVerse, visitors can interact with real environments within the games, adding more fun to the experience.
