Starting today, Outcast – A New Beginning is available on PC and console and for the occasion the launch trailer has been released: let’s see it together
The history of the Outcast franchise is an unfortunate one at best, but an interesting one to follow. It was born in 1999 on PC and stands, in all respects, as one of the first open world video games in history. Then, silence. The second chapter was supposed to be released on PlayStation 2, but never saw the light of day again. Subsequently, in 2017, Outcast: Second Contact arrived (which we told you about in a review at the time, click here!) not a very successful remake of the original released on PS4, PC and Xbox One developed by Appeal and published by Bigben Interactive. So we come to today, when the “official” sequel to the 1999 work has finally arrived on the market: Outcast – A New Beginning è disponibile su PC, PS5 e Xbox Series X | S. To celebrate the release of the game, the developers of Appeal Studios and the publisher THQ Nordic have released the launch trailer, which you can find below.

Outcast – A New Beginning puts players in the shoes of the same protagonist from the first chapter, Cutter Slade, through whose eyes they will have to face the invading forces of Slade’s planet, Adelpha, while at the same time exploring the open world map. Among the tools at Slade’s disposal, in addition to weapons, there is a jetpack that can be used to facilitate exploration during the game. Slade will also be able to use various weapons and other equipment to deal with the invading forces.
If you want to try it, before buying it, on digital stores you can also find a demo of Outcast – A New Beginning, released in February and which allows you to try a taste of the title’s gameplay.
