Although the release date of Overwatch 2 is still shrouded in mystery, more and more information about the game is starting to leak, between leaks and rather insistent rumors. during the past few hours in particular it has emerged that Overwatch 2 may not arrive on Nintendo Switch. Let’s take a look at what we know, bearing in mind that this is an unconfirmed rumor.
Won’t Overwatch 2 Coming to Nintendo Switch?
Overwatch 2 has had a bit of a bumpy ride since it was first announced a couple of years ago. Since that first announcement, the lack of information on the development and eventual launch windowor have worried fans a lot, and now, while it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it looks like the sequel may not make it to the Nintendo hybrid at all.
In fact, on February 15th, the official website of Blizzard it would have been updated with a new interface, promptly removed, as the work is still in progress. Some users, however, managed to take a long look at this new look on the official website, especially the part dedicated to video games coming out during the next few months.
Among these would appear Overwatch 2, together with the platforms on which we can play the game: here we can see the icons of BattleNet, PlayStation e Xbox, while that of Switch is completely absent. The symbol of the console of the big N is however present on Twitter in the box dedicated to Overwatch, even if not even here reference is made to its sequel.
Of course it could be a simple oversight by Blizzard, but the clues seem to point, at least for now, towards the absence of Overwatch 2 from Nintendo Switch. To have an official confirmation, however, we will have to wait for official information, which could arrive in the next few weeks.
