In the past few hours, Activision Blizzard has finally revealed, with a trailer, the abilities of the new hero who will be added to the Overwatch 2 roster: let’s get to know Ramattra together
We’re here now: Overwatch 2 Season 1 (we told you about it here!) is about to end. With the arrival of Season 2, scheduled for December 6th, the roster of heroes that Activision Blizzard puts on the field for your wild grind sessions will also expand. The new entry is Ramattra, a Tank-class Omnic hero, but which differs greatly from his other DPS “colleagues”. Ramattra is the leader of Sector Zero, who has long sought a way to live in peace with humans. Shelving one failed attempt after another, he turned to violence and allied himself with Talon.
In the past few hours, Blizzard has released a gameplay trailer showing Ramattra’s abilities. The Tank comes in two forms: Omnic and Nemesis. The Omnic form is mostly defensive, and Ramattra can place a barrier in a specific location or launch an orb that expands and becomes a slow field (which also seems to be effective on heroes like Echo and Mercy). In Nemesis form, however, Ramattra becomes more resistant and can throw shockwaves with his fists, block attacks such as Doomfist and activate his Ultimate, which appears to be able to drain health points from nearby enemies. As for Kiriko, the Hero added with the first season of Overwatch 2, Ramattra will also be obtainable by reaching level 55 of the Battle Pass. In short, get ready, as we said at the beginning, for hours and hours of grind.
