Today Blizzard has released a new trailer that shows us the skills of Ramattrathe new hero who will join the Overwatch 2 roster on December 6th, just in time for the start of Season 2. The character was already announced earlier this month, on the occasion of the Overwatch League Finals.
In addition to the trailer, which you find below, Blizzard has also published an official post on its blog in which it reveals some features of the new hero.
Overwatch 2: the trailer of Ramattra
Blizzard describes us Ramattra as “Overwatch 2’s first tank tempo“, probably a reference to his ability to shapeshift during matches, alternating between his Omnic form and his Nemesis form.
Omnic is Ramattra’s base form, and will be as he appears at the start of each game. In the Omnic version, however, the hero will be armed with a Void Accelerator: a huge stick with primary and secondary fire modes.Second Josh Noh, Overwatch 2’s lead balance designer, the Void Accelerator’s primary fire mode is capable of firing effective shots from long range. The secondary ability of the Omnic form is instead Void Barrier, which provides the player with a temporary shield that Ramattra can place on the map. The barrier can be used defensively (to protect teammates) or offensively to hinder enemies.
