Only the Major Complications Department by Pagani could have given us a surprise of this level. After all, Horacio Pagani was never satisfied with anything that he wasn’t at least perfectwith the aim of finding ways to improve it in the near future.
A philosophy that inevitably leads to results such as the Pagani Imola Roadster, the mysterious new super sports car which can finally be admired by enthusiasts from all over the world. Who is looking for refined solutions, great sportiness and details of sartorial quality, be warned: very few other cars can boast the exclusivity of the brand new “beast” from San Cesario sul Panaro. Pagani Imola Roadster: it is not a “derivative”
This is a point that Pagani is very keen to clarify: the Pagani Imola Roadster it is not a mere derivative of Imola. Lorenzo Kerkochead of Grandi Complications, explained that, after initially thinking of a simple convertible version, the project was successful a very different approach. Pagani has in fact borrowed the notable technological sector of the Huayra Roadster BC, implementing it with the use of principles of aerodynamics and design of the Huayra R: needless to say, the result is something absolutely exceptional!
Obviously all this research and commitment could not fail to also concern the mechanical part: this is why the Imola Roadster has gained an even more powerful enginewith the related aesthetic adaptations to guarantee its additional cooling. As a result, the eye-catching central airscoop has been combined with larger front air intakes and two-way hot air outlets, located on the bumper sides and front wheel arches.
Real emotions hide under the hood
As if the aesthetics of the Pagani Imola Roadster weren’t already electrifying in themselves, here is the real gem of this exclusive car: a powerful twin-turbo V12 of AMG origin. This incredible 6-litre engine, 850 HP and 1,100 Nm of torque can push the sports car up to a self-limited speed of 350 km/h. The shot is consequently burning, even if the parameters relating to 0-100 km/h have not yet been officially released by the company.
These exuberant sprinter qualities are constantly kept at bay by aerodynamics and a chassis specifically designed for this purpose. Four flaps that act autonomously interface with the electronically managed suspension system, to guarantee the best control and maximum safety: the downforce value obtained at 280 km/h is notable, equal to 600 kg of thrust. The product of this incredible mix is an extremely effective sports car in every context, despite the roadster configuration.
Pagani Imola Roadster: exclusivity first and foremost
Like any self-respecting Pagani, the Pagani Imola Roadster will not be made with the aim of becoming a best seller: only 8 examples produced, predictably already assigned. Great attention is clearly paid to the preparation of the cars, inside which only top-quality leather is placed, carbon fiberaluminum and every precious and exclusive material. Having said that, obviously there is no limit to customization: the eight lucky owners will be able to request it if they feel the need particular arrangements and additional options.
The price? It has not been declared but it is expected to be very challenging. The coupé version of the Imola has already been offered for the exorbitant sum of 6 million euros, so all that remains is to wait an even higher figure. However, a more than adequate sacrifice (wallets permitting) for a track “beast” approved for road use and designed by the legendary Horacio Pagani atelier.
