A swallow does not make a summer, but a paper airplane does: The Millennial Portal, the most beloved chapter of Paper Mario, has a release date
After the rumors that followed regarding possible news, we finally have one release date for the most anticipated remake on Nintendo Switchthat of Paper Mario: The Millennial Portal. On the occasion of the day dedicated to the mustache, March 10th (or Mar10, in case it wasn’t clear), just yesterday the Big N saw fit to drop the bomb. The return of the plumber’s second paper adventure, almost unanimously consecrated as the best ever created by Intelligent Systems in this context, it is foreseen for the 23 maggio. We don’t have many other details, outside of sporadic gameplay clips and screenshots from the game’s Japanese site, but the tweet leaves no room for doubt.

May 23rd is the release date of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door!
Now that the game has a release date, May 23rd will mark the end of the astronomical touting that the original Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is subject to on eBay and the like. Released in 2004 on GameCube, the game received critical acclaim, keeping some narrative elements intact while altering others, for example changing Peach’s kidnapper. Turn-based battles therefore make their long-awaited return to the series, while the paper aesthetic improved by the most discussed “modern” episodes of the saga remains intact. The framerate seems to have dropped to the threshold of 30, compared to the original 60, but we have no official confirmation. The Mar10 Day also confirmed the arrival of Dr. Mario, Mario Golf and Mario Tennis for the Game Boy app Nintendo Switch Online starting from Tomorrowin addition to the summer day one of Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and the development of the second feature film about the plumbers.
