Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders with actor Cillian Murphy, announces that he is completing the script and will soon begin filming the film sequel to the series
Cillian Murphy he played Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan’s film, but the shooting of another film awaits him. Speaking of the series, the actor stated that he wanted to return to the role of Thomas Shelby, in case the opportunity arose again. He claims to be “open to the idea of a film, if there was more story to tell”, but he considers 6 to be the “perfect number” meaning that the sixth season it could be the last. We do not know, therefore, whether Cillian Murphy will confirm her presence or whether she will prefer to dedicate herself to other roles. What is certain is that the sequel will be made, and it will be a feature film that will continue the events we saw in the series.

To reveal some details about the Peaky Blinders sequel is Steven Knight, creator of the series with Cillian Murphy. Knight made statements to Radio Times on the occasion of the premiere of the theater show The Redemption of Thomas Shelby. Here are his words about the film:
I’m currently working on the final details. I sit at my desk and get started. For me it’s like having a dream. You sit there and all this comes up, then you read it and think, ‘That’s great, but where did it come from?’ The plan is to begin filming in mid-2024.
