Here is the trailer for Pig, a new project by Nicolas Cage, still struggling with an out of the ordinary role: a truffle hunter struggling with his unsolved past.
Nicolas Cage returns – once again – with a bizarre and over the top project.
Pig, a film by newcomer Michael Sarnoski, sees the actor in the role of the protagonist, a truffle hunter whose pig is stolen and helps him in the search for precious mushrooms. To find him, he will have to travel to Portland and deal with his past.
The first footage of the film was unveiled at the Berlin market last year – after the shooting started two years ago. From that moment it has become one of the most talked about and awaited works in the world of cinema.
And, finally, on July 16, it will be released in US theaters, after NEON – the flagship house of American independent cinema – has bought the rights.

The new trailer was also released for the occasion. From these images emerges a Nicolas Cage more poised and balanced than the previous roles, but surely this character will also give moments of intensity.
In the cast of the film – written by Sarnoski himself together with Vanessa Block – we also find Alex Wolff, who recently appeared in Hereditary – The roots of evil and among the protagonists of the new film by M. Night Shyamalan, Old, Adam Arkin and Gretchen Corbett, best known for her theatrical career.
So we just have to wait for new updates, in the hope of an official date also for the Italian distribution, whether in cinemas or on some streaming platform.
