Sony Interactive Entertainment launched the initiative Play At Home in April 2020, offering free games and add-ons. A way to support the collective effort to maintain social distancing and respect the lock-down without giving up some fun. The success has been tremendous: over 60 million games have been redeemed in this year and a half.

Play At Home is a huge hit with 60 million games

From April, Sony Interactive Entertainment has launched four different campaigns to offer content and games, as well as other exclusive offers for fans only. SIE has seen an important response throughout the community of players around the world, with all these titles downloaded. Between the 60 million downloads There are also 11 million PS VR titles and over 30 million titles of independent partners.

Additionally, as part of the initiative, players have redeemed well over 4 million add-ons and in-game content for many successful PlayStation titles.

In recent months, Play At Home has offered:

  • April 2020: Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey (in Germany and China, Knack 2 replaced “Uncharted”)
  • March / April 2021: Ratchet & Clank, plus three months of additional access to new Funimation and Wakanim subscribers
  • April / May 2021: Horizon: Zero Dawn and 10 PS VR games and indie titles
  • May / June 2021: add-ons and in-game content for a wide variety of popular games

The last 18 months have been difficult for everyone, playing was the least of the problems.
