Sony is still struggling to keep up with the demand for PlayStation 5 due to the global chip crisis affecting companies across all industries, and has already confirmed that the shortage of consoles will continue until at least the middle of this year. In the past few hours, Sony has launched a contest that could give you the chance to finally get your hands on a PlayStation 5.
Sony launches a contest to win a PlayStation 5
In the coming weeks until March 7, Sony will publish 14 codes in various ways. It will post some online, on its social media channels, or even through high profile events in the sport, in games, movies and music. In other words, you will need to keep your eyes open and responsive following each themed event that will take place in this time window to find them.
That said, finding a code does not imply the guaranteed win of the console, but only the possibility of being drawn when deciding who will be the winner. Once the code has been obtained, it will be necessary to insert it on a dedicated page providing some sort of unspecified proof of the fact that it was obtained in a legitimate way.
Not only is the competition valid only in some territories i.e. Argentina, Canada, Chile, Mexico and the United States, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, New Zealand, Poland, United Kingdom.
You have certainly noticed the deafening lack of Italy, where unfortunately it is not possible to participate in the competition. A strange decision, especially if we consider the presence of practically all the other European countries in the list above.
