From the launch date, the numerous changes made will be present in all three body variants: the sports sedan Porsche Taycan, the versatile Taycan Cross Turismo, available with an off-road package, and the sporty yet functional Taycan Sport Turismo. Four powertrain options are available for each, with rear- and all-wheel drive variants. The revised versions will be available at Porsche Centers from spring 2024.
Porsche Taycan: even higher performance
All revised models have significantly higher accelerations to those of their predecessors. Two examples taken from the two ends of the range: as sports sedans, the Taycan and Taycan Turbo S reach 100 km/h from standstill in just 4.8 and 2.4 seconds respectively, confirming themselves 0.6 and 0 faster .4 seconds compared to previous models.
Thanks to new push-to-pass function of the Sport Chrono package, it is possible to activate a power increase of up to 70 kW for 10 seconds, depending on the model, simply by pressing a button. Acceleration increases are generally the result of increased system power. For example, the Taycan delivers 60 kW more than before, which becomes 140 kW more in the Taycan Turbo S with Launch Control. This brings the system output of the top-of-the-range model to 700 kW/952 hp.
Porsche Taycan: over 35% more autonomy compared to the previous model
Depending on the body variant and engine, the range can reach up to 678 km (WLTP), which means an increase of 175 km or 35% compared to the previous version. The updated Taycan not only requires fewer charging stops during long-distance journeys than the previous model, but also charges faster.
For example, at the 800 volt charging stations in direct current, it can be charged up to 320 kW. This is 50 kW more than before. At the same time, the fast charging window of the new high-performance battery has been significantly extended. This means that it is possible to achieve sustainable charging powers of more than 300 kW for up to five minutes and to reach very high charging powers more quickly even at low temperatures.
New active chassis
All the modelli Taycan updated come standard with adaptive air suspension. The new Porsche Active Ride suspension can be requested as an option on all-wheel drive models. This system guarantees an extraordinarily wide range of options between comfort and performance settings.
The suspension keeps the Taycan’s body always level, even during dynamic braking, steering and acceleration maneuvers. With a smooth ride, the system absorbs bumps almost completely. In dynamic driving situations, the suspension Porsche Active Ride they ensure an almost perfect connection with the road thanks to a balanced distribution of loads on the wheels. By activating the appropriate mode, the suspension can compensate for pitch and roll movements to reduce the acceleration forces acting on the occupants.
Greater efficiency
The dual improvement in performance and efficiency is due to a series of factors: a advanced powertrain with a new engine on the rear axle which delivers up to 80 kW more power than the previous one on all models, a modified pulse inverter with optimized software, more powerful batteries, remodulated thermal management, a new generation heat pump and a recovery and modified all-wheel drive.
Significantly expanded equipment with reduced vehicle weight
Although the updated models weigh up to 15 kilograms less, the standard equipment is even more extensive than in the past and now includes diffused lighting, ParkAssist with rear view camera, electrically folding exterior mirrors with perimeter lighting, heated front seats , The sistema Porsche Intelligent Range Manager (PIRM)a heat pump with a new cooling system, the smartphone compartment with wireless charging, sockets for electric charging on the driver’s and front passenger’s side, the driving mode selector and power steering Power Steering Plus.
