In particular, the automaker highlighted significant improvements in autonomy and charging times. Porsche carried out an autonomy test with 4 examples of the new Taycan in the United States, covering the route from Los Angeles to San Diego and back. The aim was to demonstrate the progress achieved in terms of mileage and charging times. The test took place over three days on Interstate Highways 405 and 5 in Southern California, traveling at the maximum permitted speed of 120 km/h.
Porsche Taycan: interesting results on autonomy and charging power tests
The test results were revealing: the Taycan Cross Turismo 4 covered 512 km, the Taycan Turbo 555 km and the Taycan 4S 552 km. The version with a single electric motor achieved a remarkable result of 587 km on a single charge. This data highlights the effectiveness of the updates inincrease autonomy of the car.
Another point of relevance is the charging capacity of the Taycan after restyling. Porsche says the car will be capable of making a complete recharge with powers above 300 kW. In particular, to go from 10% to 80% of the charge, it will take less than 20 minutes. This news confirms the automaker’s commitment to improving the efficiency and convenience of using the Taycan.
