The My Sport e Salute app was presented at 12.00 on Wednesday 24 November, in the Authority Hall of the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
The free application was developed by Sport e Salute SpA, the state company for the promotion of grassroots sport and healthy lifestyles, in collaboration with the high-tech bank illimity Bank SpA
illimity was chosen as the technological partner of the project after a selection process. She was awarded thanks to her skills in the development of digital platforms and in open innovation.
During the event, Corrado Passera, Founder and CEO of illimity, and Vito Cozzoli, President and CEO of Sport and Health attended.
Among others, statements were made by Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero, present in the room, and Giuseppe Marotta, managing director of Inter, with a pre-recorded video message.
Simplified access to sport for all
My Sport e Salute is a virtual ecosystem. The application, free and easy to use, aims to connect users with the entire Italian sports scene and within a click of the mouse. That is the Federations, the sports promotion bodies, the associated sports disciplines, the meritorious associations, the civil and military sports groups, the over 100 thousand amateur sports associations and clubs and the 14 million members.
My Sport e Salute is able to connect the 7903 Italian municipalities and the 77 thousand existing sports facilities to bring them closer to all fans, large and small, of all levels.
On the platform, sports organizations will have a visibility space where they can promote their activities and attract new users. And sportsmen will always be updated on the disciplines, on the places of interest. They will also be able to manage daily motor activity at an individual and family level.
On My Sport e Salute the sports organizations will give the possibility to purchase tickets for events or season tickets according to certain modalities under development.
Some features of the app
The main functions of the app, available in digital stores, include geolocation and the planner with a calendar to plan your commitments or sporting appointments. A marketplace will then be active, that is an area in which selected partners will offer, at advantageous conditions, products and services related to the world of sport, from technology to the financial and insurance sector.
Furthermore, My Sport e Salute constitutes a support in the monitoring of expenses and an enabler of payments independently from the bank with which the user has a relationship.
The statements
Vito Cozzoli, President and CEO of Sport e Salute SpA, said: “With My Sport e Salute we create an app open to all sports subjects. To connect them, to help families, practitioners, enthusiasts and consumers throughout the country, from cities to inland areas. Those who want to practice physical activity, those who want to improve their lifestyle, will find the answers they are looking for in the app. After the pandemic, new tools are needed to restart the sport of all and for all. Sport and Health does not want to leave anyone behind in the moment of recovery.
If summer successes are the locomotive of Italian sport, the My sport e salute app can be a wagon that Sport e Salute makes available to the restart train. We were ready to implement this application but we preferred to wait for the situation to stabilize, now we are ready to launch this project ”.
Corrado Passera, CEO of illimity, added: “We are happy to be able to collaborate with Sport and Health in this important initiative in favor of the world of sport. We were pleased to make our technological platform and our most innovative services available, such as aggregation and analysis of current accounts, an area in which the bank boasts important records. We will give the maximum collaboration to Sport and Health to ensure the success of the project and its best dissemination “.
