Coderblock: in arrivo il metaverso italiano thumbnail

Coderblock: the first Italian metaverse is coming

While the biggest world giants (Facebook in the lead) invest in the metaverse, Italy does not stand by and watch. Leading our country in this sector with great potential in the future is the Palermo-based company Coderblock, founded in 2016 by Danilo Costa e Aura Nuccio. Even before smart working became necessarily part of our daily life, Coderblock provided companies with a system to work in real three-dimensional virtual offices, allowing employees of these realities to collaborate remotely in a highly immersive experience. The virtual world of Danilo Costa and Aura Nuccio, however, did not stop there and, also due to the thrust of the pandemic, it came to the organization of corporate events, conferences and online fairs, such as Cospladya, the comic and cosplay fair which has just ended. a few days ago.

All this at Coderblock is not enough. With the support of a fundraising campaign on Mamacrowd, the company focuses on the enhancement of its SaaS platform, which allows the automated creation of virtual worlds and shared metaverses, with which it is possible to live immersive experiences through your own personalized avatar. This project would make Coderblock the first Italian metaverse, oriented above all to Business-to-business but able to attract different types of users with the addition of undoubtedly fascinating features. In fact, a virtual economy will be implemented in the metaverse, which will also include the purchase and rental of virtual spaces and lots. There will also be a store for the personalization of avatars and there will also be space for an automated system for the sale of advertising space.

Available to users there will not only be a support platform for smart working and events, but a real virtual city, where avatars can walk freely in search of experiences of the most disparate genres.

Meta e Coderblock

Coderblock in the wake of Meta? Danilo Costa himself at Corriere della Sera points out the main difference between his project and the imminent evolution of Facebook: “Compared to Meta, the new reality of Mark Zuckerberg, our idea is to allow users to enter virtual city also from PC or mobile, to have your own world available at any time of your life “.

Cospladya has demonstrated the potential of Coderblock on a wide audience, also from an international perspective. In the virtual city set up by the Palermo-based company for this event, it was in fact possible to move with one’s avatar within an environment that reproduced the trade fairs of the sector. You could chat with other users or video call guests and exhibitors, but you could also go to the games area, to enjoy some video games integrated into the experience, or to the comics area to learn about the products presented during this event. All with a clean graphical interface free of obvious bugs, also strong with some notable features aimed at making the patrons of the online fair feel at home.

If a good slice of our life in the next few years will take place inside the metaverses, Coderblock proves to have all the credentials to have its say, starting from an interface that can also be used by smartphone or computer in a simple and intuitive way, without the need to install any type of software or to resort to specific viewers. The future is already here, and Italy is there.
