Gamestop has long promised new PlayStation 5 stocks every week. Obviously limited quantities of stocks, considering how few there are around and how difficult Sony is in producing them. Let’s admit that this generation rollout has been pretty slow and so many of you (and us) still find yourself today without a next-generation console in your hands. It will be enough to be patient, of course, because the times are what they are and the Coronavirus pandemic is not helping production. In the meantime, however, Gamestop has announced a new clickday to buy Sony consoles for this afternoon, May 4, 2021.
From this afternoon at 15.30 on the Gamestop website some PlayStation 5 units will be available again. We leave you the direct link to get to the purchase page, you can find it by clicking here. Both the standard edition and the Digital Edition are back available for sale and the customizable bundles are back, to keep the touts as far away as possible. You can then select consoles, games and accessories and have access to two bundles: one from € 574.98 and the other from € 769.98. Obviously you will need to be registered on the Gamestop site, but you will not need any type of loyalty card.

The struggle to grab a next-gen console therefore continues, considering that even the Microsoft counterpart, Xbox Series X in particular, is not so well placed in terms of available units. Sony has however promised to increase production and wants to get to distribute approximately 15 million PlayStation 5s worldwide in the new fiscal year that runs from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. We remind you that 4.5 million units have been distributed since the launch at the end of 2020, and up to 31 March 2021 another 3 million. A screaming launch, albeit slow.
