Qualcomm has signed a partnership with BMW Group, which will bring the solution Snapdragon Digital Chassis on board the new vehicles of the group. The platforms Snapdragon Cockpit generation will be used to power BMW vehicle operating systems, improving the interface and offering more advanced touch and voice control. There 5G connectivity via Snapdragon Auto Connectivity it will ensure fast and reliable connections both inside and outside of vehicles.

Also, BMW and Qualcomm are developing a advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) which will include level 3 autonomous driving capabilities. These systems will be based on the platform Snapdragon Ride and should be available starting in 2025.

Qualcomm Technologies also collaborates with Mercedes-Benz to integrate solutions Snapdragon Digital Chassis in the new ones Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan from 2024, delivering enhanced onboard experiences with 5G connectivity and cloud-connected digital services. These Snapdragon platforms power the MBUX Superscreen multimedia systemimproving graphics and multimedia support.

Collaborations all over the world

Qualcomm’s collaborations with the automotive sector do not stop in Germany. Mahindra & Mahindra, a major SUV manufacturer in India, has entered into a strategic partnership with Qualcomm Technologies to utilize the Snapdragon Digital Chassis Solution platform. They will thus be able to make diagnostics based on data in real time. Mahindra will become the first automaker in the world to use Data Insights with edge diagnostics. The platforms Snapdragon Cockpit will arrive on the Scorpio-N and XUV700 SUVs.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) e Qualcomm Technologies announce a long-term collaboration to innovate the automotive industry. Qualcomm Technologies e JLR will work together to bring 5G capabilities to next-generation vehicles from the brandsi Range Rover, Defender, Discovery and Dogr. Using it Snapdragon Auto 5G Modem-RF, this partnership aims to deliver luxury in-vehicle experiences with seamless, efficient connectivity. This will help improve road safety and enable advanced connected car services. JLR vehicles with 5G connectivity based on these solutions they will be available in 2025.
