It consumes up to 54% less energy. This remarkable advancement in CPU performance sets a new standard in mobile computing, allowing users to accomplish more with greater efficiency.

The new platform is also designed to meet the needs of on-device AI applications, thanks to the Qualcomm Hexagon NPU capable of 45 TOPS, making it the fastest NPU in the world for laptops. This platform represents a significant leap in computing innovation and is poised to transform the PC industry.

The new applications and features of Snapdragon X Plus

At the launch of the new platform, Qualcomm Technologies demonstrated new AI-optimized applications and features running on the TOPS NPU 45, including:

  • Code generation from Codegen to Visual Studio Codeto assist programmers by quickly generating new code with generative AI on the device;
  • Generating music on Audacityusing Riffusion's on-device AI, to generate new music from prompts or pre-existing music;
  • Automatic subtitles with OBS Studio to provide translation of 100 languages ​​and real-time subtitle creation using Whisper on-device during livestreams.
