Good 100MP camera, 67W fast charging: after testing our review, we can say that realme 11 Pro 5G it is a rather complete smartphone for a price under 400 euros. But the difference is in the screen: a really good 6.7-inch OLED display. However, it remains to be evaluated whether, in a mid-range full of really interesting smartphones, this new realme smartphone manages to emerge. And above all, if it has all the features that are right for you.
Our realme 11 Pro 5G review
realme has announced in Italy its new realme 11 Pro line, which has two smartphones. In fact, we also tried realme 11 Pro + 5G, which put a very eye-catching design and doubled the number of megapixels in the main camera to 200MP.
realme 11 Pro 5G shares several features with its “big brother” – and also the general lines of the design. Yet it looks very different, without the vegan leather on the back. With his matte black colour, which does a great job of avoiding leaving fingerprints, feels pretty unobtrusive. Despite a round bump for the rather large 100MP camera.
The grip on the smartphone feels firm, the low weight despite the screen size and the average thickness convinced us. The build quality seems pretty good to us.
The unlock and volume buttons, which you find on the right, click and they give great feedback. Below you will find the USB-C input and the SIM slot, as well as one of the two speakers of the device. Which have a good volume, even if the audio quality is not excellent. But still average.
The fingerprint sensor is located under the screen and is responsive, even if it is not the best we have found: it is understood a few times that need a second attempt to unlock the smartphone.

A superlative screen for the price range
In the vast majority of cases, we interact with the smartphone through the screen: it therefore becomes essential to have one that is up to it. Especially when we enter the mid-range: it is one of the features that is more difficult to give up. Or at least it is for those of us who test and review many smartphones: lhe quality of the screen is the thing that is most noticeable when the price goes up.
The new realme series features a 6.7 inch curved OLED display with a screen-to-body ratio of 93,65%: The bottom and top bezels are barely noticeable, and the camera hole doesn’t affect the quality of the screen. If on the Pro+ 5G model it is impressive, in this price range it becomes really good.
The resolution FHD+ 2412×1080 allows you to better appreciate videos and TV series, also thanks to the perfect contrast of the OLED. Il refresh rate da 120Hz and 360Hz touch sampling make it ideal for gaming too. It has HDR 10+ certification and good visibility in sunlight, in fact it has a peak brightness of 950 nits. All features that are difficult to find in this price range.
The color rendering, then, is really excellent – even in low light conditions thanks to the dimming at 2160Hz. There is also the TÜV Rheinland certification to ensure that it does not tire your eyes even in the evening.
realme promised that the screen would be the highlight of this device – and it kept its word.
Good performance (but too many apps)
realme has bet on a processore Mediatek Dimensity 7050 5G for its realme 11 Pro+ 5G, accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This is not record-breaking hardware, but given the price range it is more than in line with the average. The operating system feels smooth, and while we wouldn’t recommend it for competitive gaming, it will handle any games and apps you want to open.
The main problem of realm UI 4.0 operating system is based on Android 13, however, it is precisely that it has too many pre-installed apps. It has 16 games of various kinds that occupy memory, as many applications (of which, however, only some are system and you cannot download). Those of us who prefer a streamlined and efficient system will have to spend a few minutes as soon as the phone is turned on deleting apps that they will never open in any case.
Promoted instead the functional interface and the beautiful graphic solutions, like the unlock picture carousel. realme knows it has a great screen – and it wants us to enjoy it.
realme 11 Pro 5G review: the 100MP camera
The main camera of realme 11 Pro 5G has a 100MP sensor with SuperOIS, with stabilization therefore at the hardware level. This allows you to take high-resolution images that capture a lot of light, even in non-ideal light conditions. The quality seems to us more than sufficient for social shots, even if it seems to us that the camera software tends to liven up the colors a little too much, especially the brighter ones like green and red. The effect is therefore a little less realistic than we would like. But with Pro mode or another camera app, you can use all these megapixels in a more personal way.
The 2x lossless zoom ensures a greater variety of shots, but the lack of ultrawide could be felt in some situations. The 2MP macro is not up to the 100MP companion, better not to exploit it too much. Many intelligent functions, such asAuto-Zoom that allows you to frame in the center the subjects you choose automatically. There are also Lonely Planet filters for street photography and mode Super Group Portrait, to have everyone in focus. Not bad even videos and selfies with the 16MP front sensor.
Big battery and 67W fast charging
The 5,000mAh battery it allows you to get to the end of the day even with a large screen like that of realme 11 Pro 5G. Most users will be able to get even halfway through the second day without having to find a socket to recharge their smartphone.

But when you need to plug into an outlet, you can take advantage of the 67W recharge – which is a great convenience. The smartphone recharges from 0 to 100% in 47 minutes, with the possibility of recharging 50% in just 18 minutes. This makes it possible, if you come home just for a shower before going out to dinner, to have enough battery to get through the evening without any problems.
A great convenience: although there are “faster” recharges (the same realme 11 Pro + 5G reaches 100W), in this range reaching 67W is an excellent result. And more than enough for the vast majority of people.
realme 11 Pro 5G review: is it worth it?
With a great display, a large battery and fast charging, a stylish design and good performance, realme 11 Pro 5G was able to positively surprise us during this review. A complete package for most users (who may need to spend a few minutes deleting too many realme UI 4.0 apps).
The 8GB+256GB model of realme 11 Pro 5G arrives in Italy at the price of 399,99 euro (with introductory offer a 369,99 euro), while the version from 8+128GB costs 379.99 euros. You can buy them from EURONICS, MediaWorld, Unieuro, Expert, Trony and Amazon. There are great smartphones in this price range – however, the great display and fast charging of the realme 11 Pro 5G make it a really interesting device. The competition is great, but realme 11 Pro 5G sells very well: a recommended purchase.
