Realme’s innovation continues: the brand will bring the charging speed up to 240W, by registering a further step forward with regard to a technology that has already seen it at the forefront for some time. The first smartphone to be able to count on this new charging technology will be the Realme GT Neo5arriving in February on the Chinese market and later on a global scale.
Realme brings the charging speed up to 240W
The charger made by Realme uses a dual GaN technology (with gallium nitride) to achieve the maximum speed of 240W. Charging is via a suitably customized 12A cable with four 21AWG wires. Just connect the charger to the USB-C port of your smartphone to benefit from Realme’s new ultra-fast charging technology.
In the near future, moreover, the 240W charging of Realme will become an important reference point of the brand range and, in particular, of the future top of the range. According to initial information provided by the company, for the GT Neo 5, 12 minutes will be enough to have a full charge.
More details on this new technology should arrive over the next few weeks. The brand has clarified that using the 240W recharge will not damage the battery (which will withstand over 1600 recharge cycles). We will know more about the project shortly.
